HILO, Hawaii – On the passing of Hawaii Island state representative Clift Tsuji this week, we found a video from the Big Island Video News archive that had never been published to the internet.

The 3 minute short features a comical speech by Tsuji made during a celebration for the University of Hawaii at Hilo’s Hale ‘Alahonua residence hall. The various state, county and university dignitaries in attendance were regaled with a humorous reflection by Tsuji on his own higher-learning experience.

Clift Tsuji passed away at the Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu November 15. He was 75.
