(BIVN) – Military aircraft noise is expected to increase on Wednesday over certain areas of Hawaiʻi island.
The Pōhakoloa Training Area Public Affairs Office issued alert on Tuesday, advising the public that, “depending on weather, jet engine and aircraft noise may be increased during the day and over the areas in Kona and Kohala.
Specifically, the areas that could see an increase in aircraft activity are the Pōhakuloa Training Area, Keamuku Maneuver Area, Waikiʻi Ranch, Waimea, Parker Ranch, Kailua Kona Airport, Waikoloa and Blue Hawai’ian Helicopters.
Various military aircraft will conduct training flights over Hawai’i Island between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on August 12th.
