(BIVN) – The annual Hawaiʻi Island Veterans Day Parade will be held in Downtown Hilo on Saturday morning, November 7th.
Beginning at 10 a.m., the 19th annual event will start from the Wailoa State Park entrance on Pauahi Street, up to Kīlauea Avenue / Keawe Street, then down Waianuenue Avenue to the Kamehameha Avenue bayfront, before returning to the park.
According to the Hawaiʻi Island Veterans Day Parade website, this year’s parade theme is “Celebrate Service”, with a focus on increasing the involvement of veterans and the community to serve those in need.

The Grand Marshal for the 2026 parade is VFW 3875 and Auxiliary, led by Commander Rankin Gossert.
The Community Parade Marshal is The Arc of Hilo, and the Business Parade Marshal is Orchid Isle Ford.
Veterans Day is an official U.S. federal holiday, held every year on November 11th. This year the date falls on a Wednesday. The Hilo parade is usually held on a Saturday “to maximize participation and volunteers,” the parade website states. “Plus, several long-held island locations host ceremonies that would conflict if we did the parade on the same day.”
