(BIVN) – The Hawai‘i Police Department is holding five Coffee With a Cop events in West Hawai‘i during August.
The Coffee With a Cop events are part of an ongoing community outreach held in order for the public to get to know their district police officers, and for officers to listen to community members.
The following events are scheduled:
- Friday, August 7, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at the Kona Mountain Coffee Co, 73-4038 Hulikoa Drive, Kailua-Kona.
- Wednesday, August 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at the Holualoa Bakery & Cafe, 76-5900 Mamalahoa Highway, Holualoa.
- Wednesday, August 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at the Caffé Florian, 81-6637 Hawaii Belt Road, Kealakekua.
- Thursday, August 20, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at the Kona Coffee & Tea, in the Kona Coast Shopping Center, 74-5588 Palani Road, Kailua-Kona.
- Thursday, August 20, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at the Waimea Center McDonald’s, 65-1154 Mamalahoa Highway, Waimea.
“These popular events are intentionally informal with no agenda,” police say. “Topics of conversation can range from sharing personal stories to discussing neighborhood issues.”
