(BIVN) – The man who was arrested on August 4th following a Mountain View shooting has been charged with attempted murder and other offenses.
35-year-old Kawika Ah Nee has been charged with second-degree attempted murder, carrying or use of a firearm in the commission of a separate felony, and place to keep ammunition.
Total bail for Ah Nee was set at $1,753,000. He was scheduled to make his initial court appearance Thursday, August 6, in Hilo District Court.

The charges stem from a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday morning, August 4. At 1:37 a.m., Puna patrol officers responded to a report of a man who had been shot multiple times in front of a residence in the 18-1200 block of Waikiki Street in the Livingston subdivision.
The victim, a 53-year-old Hilo man, was transported by ambulance to Hilo Benioff Medical Center in critical condition, before being flown to Oahu for further treatment.
Later that morning, Ah Nee was located and arrested without incident. Following continued investigation by detectives with the Area I Criminal Investigation Section, he was formally charged on August 5.
In a previous news release, police noted officers located Ah Nee on foot on Kauai Street, where he was arrested.
