(BIVN) – A Puna man has been arrested in connection with a terroristic threatening and firearms incident that occurred in Hilo on Wednesday night.
37-year-old Lake Charles Lively was arrested without incident Thursday morning on Ponohawai Street.
From the Hawaiʻi Police Department:
At 11:30 p.m., South Hilo patrol officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of Iloko Street in Hilo following a report of a male in possession of a firearm making threatening statements.
Upon officers’ arrival, Lively fled the area on foot. Police made area checks throughout the early morning hours, including the vicinity of the 200 block of Haili Street.
At 7:22 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 17, officers located Lively on foot in the 600 block of Ponohawai Street.
Police say Lively was arrested for the following offenses:
- (3 counts) first-degree terroristic threatening
- (2 counts) violation of a temporary restraining order
- First-degree burglary
- Ownership or possession of a firearm prohibited
Police say Lively remains in custody at the East Hawai‘i Detention Center in Hilo, while detectives with the Area I Juvenile Aid Section continue the investigation.
