
PUNA, Hawaii – A magnitude 3.7 earthquake shook the Puna area of Hawaii Island at 12:32 p.m. Thursday.
The earthquake was centered 12 miles southwest of the Leilani Estates subdivision, apparently within the boundary of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. It had a depth of roughly 4 miles.
Residents reported feeling light shaking across Puna, Hilo and parts of Ka’u. No injuries or damage has been reported and ni tsunami alerts have been issued.
