NORTH KOHALA, Hawaii – A past controversy surrounding the Kohala Kai subdivision was revisited at the Hawaii County Council planning committee on Tuesday.
Public testimony centered around concerns over the preservation of the historic Ala Loa trail.
Both the owner and the National Park Service were on hand to provide an update.
