Media release | Office of Hamakua Councilman Dominic Yagong

Council Chairperson Dominic Yagong is hosting meetings encouraging the public’s input and feed back on the County of Hawaii’s Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2011-2012.

The meetings will be held at 6:00pm and 6:30 pm at the following locations:

May 10 Community Enterprises- Kona Town Meeting (old airport pavilion) 6:00pm

May 11 Pāpa‘aloa Annex 6:30pm

May 12 Honoka‘a School Cafeteria 6:30pm

May 13 Kulaimano Center in Pepe‘ekeō 6:30pm

Yagong is concerned about the Mayor’s proposal of balancing the budget by deferring mandatory payments of over $20 million to the next budget year 2012-2013. He encourages the public to view the Mayors proposed budget at http://co.hawaii.hi.us/budget/OperatingBudget.pdf
