(BIVN) – A budget presentation was given to the Hawaii County Fire Commission by Fire Chief Darren Rosario on Wednesday.
The fire department’s spending plan coincides with Mayor Harry Kim’s 2017-18 county budget that proposes a 6.5% property tax increase as well as a fuel tax increase.
Chief Rosario’s presentation also comes on the heels of a new collective bargaining agreement for firefighters.
