(BIVN) – A small earthquake was recorded in North Kohala on Friday evening at 8:29 p.m. HST, scientists report.
The U.S. Geological Survey initially measured the quake at a Magnitude 3.5. The epicenter was located just southeast of Kapaʻau at a depth of about 7 miles.
As of 9 p.m., about 100 people in the surrounding area reported feeling the temblor.
With an earthquake of this magnitude, damage is not expected to have occurred.
On September 28, 2018, a Magnitude 4.0 earthquake shook Kohala Mountain.
