Alesha “Ulu” Makuakane has been crowned 2010′s Miss Ka`u Coffee.

The Pageant was held at the Kau High School Gym in Pahala, where the 5 contestants vying for the designation competed to represent the regions growing coffee industry, starting at next month’s Kau Coffee Festival.

Makuakane is from Waiohinu, and plans to attend college and major in health
and human nutrition.

The pageant also crowned a Miss Peaberry for 2010… 8 year old Karlee Fukunaga-Camba, of Pahala.
