HILO, Hawaii – The contested case hearing for the the Thirty Meter Telescope project resumes today following the holiday break.
The TMT International Observatory (TIO) is still presenting witnesses. According to the conversation held a few weeks ago, TMT attorneys plan to put project manager Gary Sanders on the stand.
After TIO, it will be the turn of the TMT opponents to present their case.
A hearing will also be held Wednesday morning on a motion by participants KAHEA to compel TIO to produce the observatory decommissioning plan to be used as an exhibit during the hearing. TIO is opposing the motion.
