The highly anticipated, always eclectic, annual 4th of July parade in Volcano Village marched down Old Volcano Road on Sunday.
Uncle Sam, Lady Liberty and the Hawaii County Band led the parade from the Volcano Post Office to the Cooper Community Center, where a community festival was underway.
After the parade, a silent auction benefit was held at the Cooper Center. Items included sightseeing adventures, overnight stays, and gift certificates. Proceeds from the auction benefit the Friends of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
