A new health clinic is now open for appointments in Kealakekua.

Kaiser Permanente Hawaii blessed its South Kona Clinic in the traditional Hawaiian fashion on Saturday. The clinic will initially offer adult primary care.

According to Dr. Daryl Kurozawa, general surgeon and Associate Medical Director of the Neighbor Islands, the facility will be a big help to the community.

“We are pleased to provide increased access to health care services and convenience for our members in South Kona,” said Kurozawa in a media release. “Combined with our existing Kona Clinic in the Hualalai Medical Center, the community in the area will be well-served. We look forward to welcoming our members to our new clinic.”

The new clinic will be open for adult primary care appointments 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed for lunch 12:30-1:30 p.m.), Monday through Friday. Members may call 747-8800 for appointments.
