Looking for last minute tips before tackling the 2.4 mile swim off Kona Pier? Or want to generally find out how to improve your swimming technique for speed and efficiency? Join Team Mauna Lani’s pro triathletes, Tim DeBoom and Hillary Biscay as they host a relaxed poolside Q&A and swim demonstration.

BRING: Swim gear including goggles and towel. Personalized swim instruction will be offered dependent upon numbers.

KARES (Kohala Animal Relocation and Education Services) is bringing a mobile veterinary spay/neuter clinic to Waikoloa Village on Tuesday Oct.4, 2011, to be held at Waikoloa Community Church. Every time a pet is fixed, litters are prevented. Litter prevention leads to less crowded pet shelters and less euthanasia. Help us achieve our goal of empty shelters. Cats $30.00, dogs $60.00, microchip $5.00, vaccine $10.00. Financial assistance is available. For information and reservations call KARES at 333-6299. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED.
