Forty-one-year-old Randall C. Guadiz of a Waikoloa died two days after the crash.

Responding to a 10:38 p.m. call on July 13, Kona patrol officers determined that Guadiz was operating a 1998 Honda motorcycle and traveling north on Route 190 when he overtook a vehicle in a no-passing zone and sideswiped a 2012 Toyota four-door sedan traveling south and being operated by a 45-year-old California woman.

The driver of the Toyota was not injured.

Police ask that anyone who witnessed the crash or was at the scene call Sergeant Christopher Gali at 961-2332.
