HILO — The state Department of Transportation advises the public and airport users of access changes to the main parking lot at Hilo International Airport. In an effort to improve traffic flow and safety, the parking entrance near baggage “D” claim will be eliminated. Parking access will continue to be available as motorists enter the airport. When dropping passengers at baggage claim, please continue around the airport loop road to enter the parking area. These changes will take effect beginning Thursday, April 10, 2013. Signage will guide travelers to the parking entrance. See map below for more details.
