HILO, Hawaii – Hawaii County Council candidates involved in run-off contests on the general election ballot talked about trash and the looming closure of the Hilo landfill during a recent political forum.
The October 5th Decision 2016 talk story involved Hilo’s District 3 candidates Moana Hokoana Keli‘i and Susan “Sue” Lee Loy, and Puna’s District 4 candidates Madeline “Madie” Greene and Eileen O’Hara.
The informal forum was held at the Nani Mau Gardens in Hilo and was moderated by Sherry Bracken. The event was organized by the Hawaii Island Realtors and the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce.
