(BIVN) – One of the stand-out performances during the Merrie Monarch Ho‘olaule‘a this past Sunday was put on by a Hilo-based studio, Halau Hula ‘O Kahikilaulani. Featuring powerful kane, graceful wahine, and dazzling soloists, the performance split into kahiko and auana and went on for over an hour.
The video above features the highlights of the show, which ended with kumu Nahokuokalani Gaspang taking to the floor and joining her halau for a hula to end.
