9:30 a.m. | UPDATE
- The magnitude for the earthquake has been adjusted to 3.9, up from 3.8.
- A magnitude 3.8 earthquake was recorded 11 miles southeast of Volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii at 10:30 p.m. HST on Jan. 23.
- No tsunami is expected, reports the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
- The temblor was felt as far north as Papaikou as very light shaking, but no damage was reported.
- The quake originated at a depth of 4.6 miles.
