KAILUA-KONA (BIVN) - More imagery from the 38th annual IRONMAN World Championship: the 112 mile bike ride through the hot lava fields of the Kona - Kohala Coast.

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii – Images captured along the arid stretch of the Queen Ka’ahumanu Highway during the 38th annual IRONMAN World Championship illustrate the grueling the 112 mile bike ride, the second part of the triathlon. The bike follows the 2.4-mile open-water swim and then culminates in a 26.2-mile marathon before finishing on Ali’i Drive.
