HAWAIʻI ISLAND - GMO, or genetically engineered, coffee and taro could be banned on Hawaiʻi Island by a vote of the county council.

(BIVN) – Bill 361, a ban on GMO coffee and taro (genetically engineered) on the Big Island of Hawaii, is unanimously given a positive recommendation at the county Environmental Management Committee. Supporters, and opponents, of the bill give public testimony before the vote, and share insight into the GMO controversy in this video.
