Historic short films, the sounds of the pipe organ, Bruddah Smitty, Sean Robbins, the Hawaii County Band, and Halau Na Pua ‘O Uluhaimalama entertain the audience at the Palace Theater.

A “May Day Mele” was held at the Palace Theater in Hilo on Sunday, one of the many May Day celebrations held around the island.

The free event included live music, historic short films and the sounds of the theater’s impressive pipe organ.

The show also featured musical acts Bruddah Smitty, Sean Robbins and the Hawaii County Band.

Kumu Emery Aceret and Halau Na Pua ‘O Uluhaimalama performed hula, and gave out leis to the audience.
