Former congressman and gubernatorial candidate Neil Abercrombie compares Hilo’s champion of the underprivileged to the Travelocity Gnome, among other friendly barbs, during last night’s roast of George Yokoyama.
The 84 year old Yokoyama recently retired from his post as executive director of the public-private nonprofit corporation Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council. Last night’s event was also a fundraiser for the organization, that services the less fortunate in the community through a number of different programs.
