The community gathered last week in Papaikou for a talk story with Mayor Billy Kenoi, as well as a presentation on a proposed zipline operation by the Kapoho Kine tour company.

The local residents had a chance to ask questions of the zipline operators, who are planning to run the new Honoli`i Mountain Outpost nearby.

Later in the day, the mayor answered questions – many of which had to do with Speed Humps in the neighborhood.

The Papiakou Community Center will be the location of another community meeting tonight – this time the Hamakua CDP Steering Committee, where a presentation on the status of the Open Spaces, Public Access and Natural Resource Preservation Commission will be given.
