KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii: Lanihau Center’s Cruise Night on Saturday, June 16th, will be a benefit for Kona Task Force for Feeding the Hungry. The Lanihau Center has more:

Lanihau Center’s June 16th, Cruise Night will be celebrating the Ford Motor Company brands of cars and trucks and will also host a donation table for the Kona Task Force to Feed the Hungry. The 6-9 p.m. Father’s Day eve event is presented in the Bank of Hawaii parking lot facing Palani Road and is free to the public and participants with all makes of cars, trucks and motorcycles.

Featured Fords from Model Ts to Mercurys, Mustangs and Cobras will be lined up on either side of the KWXX/B-97 DJ tent at the center of the event and will be the lead vehicles in the 7:30 p.m. parade around the shopping center parking lot. Owners of all Ford makes and models are invited to share the evening with more than fifty other hot rods, sports cars, antiques and imports.

Each month the Lanihau Center merchants invite a different local non-profit charity to meet the public at their Cruise Nights. This Saturday night will feature the Kona Task Force for Feeding the Hungry and their Meet & Eat Program. Donations of canned goods, bags of rice and cash will be welcome to help their weekly feedings at Hale Halawai every Monday and at the Kealakehe Intermediate school on Wednesdays.

KWXX / B-97 radio’s G. Cruz will be the guest MC for the evening, playing classic rock and roll music and hosting prize giveaways every half hour from 6:30 through 8:30 p.m. Everyone making a donation to the Kona Task Force will receive giveaway tickets. Special “Father’s Day” prizes from Lanihau Center shops will be featured.
