(Big Island Video News) HONAUNAU, Hawaii – Damage assessments continue in West Hawaii following a week of pounding waves and high surf. On Tuesday, Visionary Video cameras got a glimpse of the damage sustained at Puuhonua o Honaunau, South Kona’s treasured National Historical Park site.

  1. Something doesn’t seem right that the national park system opened up a Hawaiian cultural site to the public. The flawed idea of separation from nature/God created the “need” for parks to “preserve nature”. But when they try to preserve cultural sites, there is something that is missed. Where is the culture now? US occupation has disallowed Hawaiian land management for generations since Uncle Scam always wants to be the puppet master. The result has been catastrophic for the land, water, and people.
