(BIVN) – The same group that has been caring for the public land area at the Waipi’o Lookout has again come before the Hawaii County Public Access, Open Space and Natural Resources Preservation Commission in the hopes of continuing their work.
Pōhāhā I Ka Lani supporters Ku Kahakalau and Jesse Potter testified at the special PONC meeting held Monday in Hilo, in the hopes that their request for another year of stewardship at Koaʻekea, the 1.8-acre Waipi’o Lookout property purchased by the county using the 2% percent land fund in October 2007, would be granted.
