PĀHOA, Hawaiʻi - The Planning Department has recommended the denial of an application for a new store on Pāhoa Bypass Road.

(BIVN) – William Quinn is applying for a Special Permit to allow the development of a 3, 600 square-foot Pāhoa Farm & Garden on the mauka-side of Pāhoa Bypass Road. The store will replace the present Pāhoa Feed & Fertilizer store on Pāhoa Village Road. The new store will be located on 32,670 square feet of land in the
State Land Use Agricultural District.

However, the Planning Department director recommended the permit be denied. Now, Quinn is trying to convince the Windward Planning Commission to grant his application.
