KEAUKAHA, Hawaii – Kalani Flores, an appellant in the Thirty Meter Telescope court case, made his case in opposition to new rules that will regulate cultural practices on Mauna Kea.
Flores made a half hour presentation during a Kahu Ku Mauna consultation in Keaukaha on Saturday. The advisory council to the Mauna Kea Management Board sought input on proposed Office of Mauna Kea Management rules regarding ahu and ho’okupu.
