KEAAU, Hawaii – State Senator Russell Ruderman held a public meeting in Keaau on Tuesday night. A large group came out to hear a legislative update from the Puna senator, while the official recess is underway.
The room was mostly filled with supporters who share the Senator’s view on district concerns like geothermal energy development and invasive species. In an interview with Big Island Video News after the meeting, Senator Ruderman said historically Puna has had a hard time getting heard on issues like these at the Capitol.
One of Ruderman’s top priorities for this legislative session is getting a new regional library for Puna.
