HILO, Hawaii – Former Governor John Waihee had the honor of delivering the final political speech on Friday night in Hilo during the Democratic Party’s Grand Rally tradition at the Mo’oheau Bandstand.

Waihee took the stage to campaign for the party’s presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, and take aim at Republicans.

“Why do you think the Republicans hate Hillary Clinton so much?” Waihee asked the crowd. “Why do they spend millions of dollars and hours of lies to destroy a wonderful woman? Because they know that she is the most qualified person to be President of the United States.”
