Volcano Art Center

Volcano Art Center (VAC) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) educational organization founded in 1974. VAC operates a successful fine arts gallery showcasing handcrafted art works by over 300 local artists, as well as developing and offering programs for residents, keiki and visitors alike, including the award winning Na Mea Hawai`i Hula Kahiko performance series at the pa hula in Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park.

VAC exists at two locations: 1.) the 1877 Volcano House Hotel, which is now a gallery operating under a cooperative agreement with the National Park Service. 2.) The Niaulani campus, located in Volcano Village by the Niaulani Rain Forest.
