Syd Singer

Sydney Ross Singer is a medical anthropologist and noted author. He is the director of the Institute for the Study of Culturogenic Disease, based in Puna, Hawaii. On Hawaii Island he has earned a reputation for his defense of coqui frogs, strawberry guava, and mangroves, even though they have been labelled as invasive threats to Hawaii’s fragile ecosystem by government agencies.
