After the walk, enjoy Live Music entertainment, and Dinner in the park. Then stay for 7:00 p.m. “Lights of Remembrance” Luminary Launch

Registration forms are Available Now to join “A Walk to Remember”. Walk in memory or in honor of a loved one with a 2.25 mile walk though Wailoa State Park and the surrounding area. Raise $50 and receive a ticket for dinner. $100 receives dinner and 7th Annual Celebration of Life t-shirt. Deadline to qualify for incentive prizes is Friday April 29th; however, registration forms will be accepted on the day of the event.

At sunset, share remembrance at the “Lights of Remembrance”. Design a luminary in memory or in honor of a loved one and enjoy the launch of lanterns on the Wailoa River. Luminaries are available for $20 in advance or at the event.

This will be a family and community event designed to celebrate life and share in remembrance of loved ones. Share stories, meet new friends, and learn about Advance Care Directives, assistance and programs available in the community.

The Celebration of Life is produced by Hospice of Hilo, a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization, which is a family centered approach to end-of-life care. Hospice care offers emotional and medical support to patients and families offering care and comfort when cure is no longer possible. Focused on quality of life, Hospice honors the dignity of each individual.. Proceeds from the 2011 Celebration of Life will benefit the patients and families served by Hospice of Hilo.
